We had a very pleasant lunch and a few pints. good quality eating at a fair price.

This original coaching inn dates from 1619. Unfortunately, up until fairly recently, the decor also appeared to be original! A new landlord has breathed new life into this pub, with a major refurbishment completed in February 2020. The single bar is still very traditionally laid out, to complement the low, beamed ceilings, yet it looks very smart and fresh. Such a shame that this occurred just before the first lockdown. I’m sure that when the world returns to some sort of normality this pub will thrive, as it deserves to!

I absolutely love it! The ambiance is a charming blend of old-world style and relaxation. There's a great selection of beer, and the locals and staff are very friendly. I will definitely be returning!
