While in the neighborhood, we stopped at Beijing's lunch buffet, and were pleasantly surprised at the very high quality of the buffet items. Not your typical chinese-american fare, of dubious quality, the Beijing restaurant's offerings were unique and delicately flavored, reminding me of hints of malaysian and thai flavors. The atmosphere is intimate but not crowded, and unique music sets the mood. The price is very reasonable, $7 per person for the lunch buffet, as of Oct. 2010. Well worth the visit.
Great food. Nice place to sit down for a date. The food seems more homemade than your typical Chinese restaurant.
Until recently, I had been a customer for three or four years. My first negative experience happened when they sent me the wrong order. They insisted that I had ordered walnut chicken with sweet white sauce, despite the fact that brown sauce and sesame seeds were clearly visible on the sesame chicken in front of me. Despite this confusion, I foolishly decided to give them another chance...
A group of us dined at this restaurant, and unfortunately, we all ended up feeling very sick afterward. We definitely won't be returning!
