Kings Valley Diner - Kingston

Really disappointed in Kings Valley Diner today. Went with my husband this morning looking forward to have a nice breakfast with him. Sat down, waitress came over, everything was going fine until it came time to order. My husband ordered a Breakfast Platter and a side and then I went to order my Breakfast Platter and asked that they sub out my home fries with corned beef hash and that I had no problem paying an upcharge( would have been $3). I was told NO that they never have anybody ask if they can sub out things on the menu and that they could not do that and accommodate my request. Not for nothing but I 've worked in Food Service before and a request like that is so common and simple, it should not have been a problem to carry out. It totally put me off and I told the server that we would take my husband 's breakfast order to go.I wasn 't going to order anything and to not bring the coffee that we had ordered either.I order from this place with my work colleagues all the time and I have eaten here more times than I could even remember. When I mentioned something to the desk when paying my bill I was met with a very smug I 'm sorry we don 't do that response. Mind you I wasn 't looking for anything free I was more than happy to pay the difference for the home fries. Real poor customer service. Never have I seen a business willing to lose 40 bucks over $3. They all need to go take a course on proper customer service and food service for that matter.

First the good, mediocre food, and slow service. Next the health hazard!! When your meal arrives you get a little stack of extra napkins. That sit on your table for your meal in case you don’t need them. Can you guess what happens to the unused stack of napkins that sat next to Sneezy, Coughy, and the other 5 disgusting dwarves after they leave. Yup right back to the supply to be used for the next table. Make sure you have shots if you eat there.
