John's Plaice

I had a lovely experience at this restaurant. My order arrived 40 minutes later, with my partner receiving a patty sausage and chips and I got a large haddock with peas. The food was well-cooked with a nice batter, and despite it being a cold night, the meal arrived hot. This was our first time trying this restaurant, but it won't be our last. The delivery person was nice and pleasant, providing good customer service. Well done!

The fish was dry and inedible, possibly overcooked or left under the heat lamp for too long. The chips were greasy and soggy. Overall, the food was not up to par and not worth the price. I will not be returning and will be advising others to avoid this restaurant. The service was disorganized and slow.

Although the food is of good quality, the wait time at this restaurant is excessive. Even if you place a pre-order, your meal won't be prepared until you arrive at the restaurant, pay, and then wait in a line for at least 10 minutes.

I witnessed the fryer verbally abusing Claire the server who is or was very efficient in her job. Shouting swearing in front of customers is not acceptable. He has been full of cold coughing and sneezing while frying for over a week. No mask on. Claire received instant dismissal. Appalled at the treatment of a very loyal girl.

First time I’ve tried this chippy, it was excellent will definitely come again. Service was great too
