Hamgipak - Kingston upon Thames

The best tasting Korean cuisine in the city. the pajeon is so crispy. every dish is super delicious. I've come here many times, eating is quite consistent. if they are not in the mood for Korean bbq, this is the place to be. they would recommend to book in advance as it is not a big restaurant. the service is always friendly and warm. love this place!

Lovely small family run restaurant. The food came out quickly, so fresh and crispy. Everything seasoned perfectly. If only Imome wasn't so far from Manchester I'd dine here regularly for sure!

I would rate it 5 stars for overall experience. Korean food is my comfort food and I am satisfied! It felt like I am eating at home! it is not too pricey and the portions is just right! Although the place is small , we liked the service and food. We will definitely come back!

There is limited seating. Imone do take reservations, I suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment. They open at 12:00 and were turning people away in less than an hour because there was no seating left. It’s definitely a popular place for food with locals. The food was really good. Everything coming into the restaurant from the kitchen smelled delicious. We ordered the chicken mandoo, pa jeon, chicken wings. These were cooked really well perfectly crispy with good flavour. I ordered the minced beef bi bim bap. I can see why people have commented that it lacks flavour but it was perfect for me. The chicken noodles were really good too. The staff were really nice. There are toilets, but they’re located at the back of the restaurant which you cannot access from inside. You would have to go outside, walk along the outside of the building through a small alley way.

I recently visited a new painting and had the chance to try out one of the small Korean restaurants on the main street. I had heard great reviews about Hamgipak, so I decided to stop by on my way from the train station. The weather was quite chilly and the restaurant's windows were fogged up.
