Hawkers And Brasserie

The choice of food was limited and what we had was bland and tasteless. once served at the beginning, they simply don't let anyone ask if everything is in order or we demanded something else. bad experience. the night after we ate outside bar and service and eat excellent, limited choice but delicious!

Stayed at the hotel two nights and dined in Hawkers both evenings. First night the food was good, the staff pleasant but the service was awful. Painfully slow and a very long wait to complete a meal. Spoilt the evening. Second night I ordered a steak mistake. Probably the worst steak I have eaten. Tough beyond words. And at £29 was poor value. Wanted to send it back but that meant my wife would be eating her meal on her own. Really disappointing. Worst possible scenario was watching the chef in the open kitchen dip his finger into a pot of something he was cooking and then put his finger in his mouth to taste. Whatever catering college did that chef go to ?

The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is peaceful. I have dined here multiple times for dinner and will definitely return.

The food was presented very well and tasted lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant area was clean and comfortable. I would definitely dine here again and recommend it to others.

Great food, good service lovely atmosphere. Been many times will be returning.
