The Ram Kingston - Kingston upon Thames

Went with a friend to try out the Sunday roasts. I had the beef and he had the chicken. We wanted a starter of pigs in blankets but these were sold out. Also, there was only one beer available on tap, so this is clearly not a beer-drinker's pub!! The pub really needs to improve in this respect. Although my beef roast was very tasty (and the maple-roasted carrots were superb), I was seriously disappointed with the portion of beef, as there were just two small slices. I would have liked double that! On the other hand, the chicken roast portion size was excellent, and my friend was delighted with his meal. So the lesson here is to avoid the beef and have the chicken instead! We also tried the beef-dripping chips and the sticky toffee pudding, both of which were great. There is no doubt that the food quality is really good, so it's such a shame that I was left disappointed by the meagre portion of beef. The pub itself is very comfortable, with great seating, and there are board games available for children to play. The toilets are clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

I had a brilliant lunch with my dad who took me here today. I had a fantastic burger with fries. The service was great and decorations were excellent, overall great place definitely recommend this Chloe

Opened promptly at midday and it was lovely and warm already when I walked in. I was greeted by the landlord who was friendly and welcoming. Had a nice coffee and sat down in front of the fire with a lovely chap called Bill who lives on a boat moored nearby, he shared stories of yesteryears and the pub dog cosied up on my lap : Lovely pub and atmosphere. Even have homemade brownies on sale! A*

I came for lunch today and had a great experience. The service given by Nir and Sasha (I believe this is her name), on duty, was excellent and the food arrived quickly. I had Fish Finger sandwich and a Paulaner (recommended by Sasha) which were spot on. Clean facilities, good atmosphere and great staff. I will be sure to visit again.

Great atmosphere. Lovely staff...especially Marks, who was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and he is an absolute sweetheart. So attentive to detail and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great dining experience
