We decided to try this restaurant after learning that it had recently changed ownership. We ordered the dumpling soup with pork and vegetables, but we were disappointed to find that there was very little pork in the soup. The menu advertised slices of pork, but we only found a few slivers in our bowl. The previous owner used to serve generously sized pieces of pork as shown in the menu picture. While the soup was enjoyable, it did not quite live up to the presentation in the picture.
I ordered the beef bento and was disappointed to receive only 3 pieces of chewy beef with a lot of onions and carrots. The sauce lacked flavor, and the dish also came with 2 dried pieces of tofu and 3 tiny pieces of some strange yellow pickle. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
I went to Genki with a couple of friends for a late lunch. We ordered 3x small Tori Bento boxes $9.50 each. Service is quick before long maybe 10-15 mins) our meals were ready. Steamed rice served with tasty beef, onions shredded carrots in a teriyaki sauce. On the side there is a couple of pieces of bean curd, yellow pickle tiny cucumber garnish. The dish is presented well most importantly tastes delicious. The menu choices are good ranging from noodkes, sushi, sushimi rice dishes. A most enjoyable meal !!!
What can I say! But WOW! I've been coming back here since we moved to Clayton south from coolaroo lol.
