The Chicken Shop - Kingston

At last, I found a fried chicken restaurant where the chicken is truly crunchy and crispy! This place is one of the few that makes their chips perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and slightly chewy on the inside, and generously seasoned with chicken salt. It can be a bit greasy, but in my opinion, it's not overly so. If you're looking for fresh and healthy options, there are plenty of other places nearby. The service is fast and the food is never soggy. The only downside is that they don't offer spicy fried chicken, but that's just because their regular chicken is so delicious that I want more of it!

Classic local chicken shop. Been going here for a couple years now and the experience has always been consistent. Chicken and chips with chicken salt are my go to order.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The chicken salted chips are incredible and ideal for a picnic or sharing with the family.

This restaurant is like a nostalgic takeout experience from your childhood. Even if you're not in the mood for chips, you'll find yourself indulging in them and finishing the whole packet. While there may be other places in Canberra that offer great chips, I have yet to come across any that surpass these. Make sure to enjoy them while they're hot and fresh. The place also has some stools where you can comfortably sit and wait for your order. The chicken is delicious, surpassing that of Red Rooster and Kingsleys.
