My man and I stopped at the hotel restaurant jenny after visiting Monday of the sign. Although the menu seemed more restricted than what we saw on the outside of the terrace, we were quite satisfied with our orders. I had sparingly with two sauces, dried...ham and black forest ham. my man had the jambonneau with a cheese sauce. we shared a part of weeping. I noticed that all the dishes come well presented and the waiting staff was pleasant, although I got the sense that they could not get many Americans there. da kintzheim has some great attractions, this kind of surprises me. I had not the idea that this restaurant was particularly popular with tourists. most people eat when we seemed to be native. overall our experience was pleasant and we would return.
It is the second time that we have been at this place in the middle of a beautiful little village that to visit. a traditional restaurant and hotel where they feel the Alsatian worm character and honest eating. full local people who come to taste. the best dishes of this fabulous region, from the so-called “Tartes Flambées” (type of delicate pizza with cream, wobble, speck and in some cases several types of cheese and mushrooms) “Jamboneau” (nice roasted pork) and the famous “choucroute”, the carcasss with sausage and cartoffels. all accompanied with the local white wines and the house made sweet desserts, which a very good meal. the place is typically locally furnished and the staff is experienced and friendly. they need nothing else to have a nice time and get the essence of this region. Now, do not forget to make a picture, so it will remind them that they have been part of this Alsace sausage place full of taste and character. Just enjoy it!
As with quite a few restaurants up and down the Wine Route, the food is very good and quite substantial. I had the rognons (veal kidneys) in a stellar gravy with pasta which was like kluski. Very good. My wife had canard which she thought...was very good too. Service was all done by one woman, but she handled 4/5/6 tables very well. All in all quite nice and decently priced as well. The restaurant is very pretty inside.
Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) large variety of food. great steak, and the kids enjoyed too, try the black forest ice cream.
