I made a drain cleaning order for this restaurant and her manager (Michelle) offered me free lunch as a thank you! It was very nice of them. The food was fresh and delicious, and the kitchen was clean. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you like delicious Chinese food!
We have ordered from here a few times in the past, also considering the lack of good vegan options in this area in general. Good food, though I don't like the discarded plastic packaging. But today we were particularly disappointed that we get an egg frying, although we emphasize more than once on the vegan order. I really hate to throw food away, so I now eat with difficulties despite my philosophical stand against him (I don't think I have eaten almost egg in the last 30 years, and I can also see that I don't appreciate the taste of egg anymore). In any case, there is always an element of risk for vegans when ordering from a non-vegan place. So I only share a caution about this place from my experience today.
TLDR: made to order. The hotel is located on the ground floor of the Totem Lake Hotel. Beautiful cozy restaurant café, which is well lit and Chinese music plays soft in the background. Networked with what seems to be a tea shop. All food is made to order, so expect a wait. It's not a fast food joint. Service: Wait for seats, you get a pitcher and water cup, order at the table, check brought to you, box your own remains. Dried tofu with pork: my favorite dish. The tofu is 't dried it's just less sponge and more dense--light chewing texture I really like. I wish the share was a little bigger.
Great food, came to the table very hot and fresh. The cup of soup is a full meal. Loved the fried tofu.
