Feedback gevenI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I was the only customer, yet I felt completely ignored. I waited for ten minutes just to order a simple black coffee. In fact, I even went up to the counter and returned, but they didn’t take a moment to acknowledge my presence at the register.
The food I ordered, a quiche and a burrito, was served ice cold—literally straight from the fridge. If I hadn’t been in such a hurry to catch my flight, I would have returned to the counter to demand a refund for the subpar food and service. This was, without a doubt, the worst meal I had in Washington, and both incidents occurred at the same establishment. It was disappointing, and I hope they can improve.
1. On three separate occasions, while I was discussing something with another employee, she stared at me intently from behind, even though I was clearly trying to get help with my to-go order to check if it was mine or someone else's. 2. My usual order was inexplicably canceled after I had already placed it, forcing me to wait an additional ten minutes to reorder. I tried to text to place my order, only to find out that it had been canceled without explanation. 3. The final straw came yesterday when I attempted to place another regular order online, but the system indicated that it was too busy to accept orders. So I walked in, expecting a quick chat, only to be met with, "You have to wait because I'm currently busy." I couldn't believe it! When I asked when she'd be ready, her response was a vague, "Um, I don’t know, maybe ten minutes?" Because of these experiences, I can't recommend this place to my colleagues, as I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I did. It’s unfortunate, especially since most of the other staff are friendly and helpful. But one bad apple can spoil the bunch. By the way, I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt it was important for the owners to be aware of how some employees are impacting the customer experience. I've noticed that other reviews mention a similar issue with this employee's behavior as well.
The pretty lady on the counter threw a cold croissant on my face. She probably saw my skin color and felt that way. She greeted all the fair people.
Honestly wish I could give less than 1 star. The place looked dirty and poorly managed. Didn?t feel too welcomed either, though that?s not even the reason I felt the need to write this review. Ordered two matcha lattes, one hot and one iced. BOTH drinks were extremely watered down and we could only taste the milk. The drinks were only a hint of green, obviously being stingy with their ?ceremonial grade? matcha. We went across the street and dumped out the drinks to recycle the cups so we could make some good out of the experience. We had better expectations for this place because of the other reviews, highly disappointing and a waste of money. Biscotti wasn?t impressive. Too me it was too thick and borderline stale but some may like the thickness. Music was good!
