The Sweetside - Kirkland

Their cake slices and their macarons are good, though on the pricier side. Not a fan of their coffee as it was bitter.

We stopped here after walking our dogs around area on Saturday morning. The evening before, we had shared a chocolate tuxedo cake slice from Safeway which was soft, creamy delicious. We expected something similar from this bakery. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We tried 2 cake slices raspberry filling cake and s’mores cake slice. The frosting on both slices was stiff and flavorless. The cake and raspberry filling was good. The s’mores cake was not worth tasting again very stiff frosting including the filling. It tasted like eating hardened butter. We will not return to this bakery.

I love the chocolate chip cookie and cookies n cream cupcake! Not usually a fan of chocolate cake, but this one was moist and yum
