Costa Coffee - Kirklees

I typically like visiting Costa coffee shops. However, this afternoon, the atmosphere was not as pleasant as usual, despite the cake and coffee being of their usual excellent quality. There was a strange smell when I entered, and it was surprisingly warm inside despite the weather being cool and rainy outside.

The staff at this restaurant provided terrible customer service and had a couldn't-be-bothered attitude. The coffee was lukewarm and when replaced, it was still not hot. Most of the seats were taken up by students working on their laptops.

The store was closed 2 hours after their opening time. So had to use the drive through. The staff member was very abrupt and rude with a lack of passion. Items where missed that we had order and had to reorder an item.

Extremely well controlled Covid system and very strict good. The staff brilliant and the place good Toilets superb everything being cleaned very throroughly. Tables spotless and cleaned before sitting. Coffee and food of the usual standard high. Excellent in every way

Not happy at all, went for a large latte with r kid. Coffee was below par, tables were dirty, people arguing over the toilets. Very distressing experience. Advise going across the road to bossmen at Cafe Nero.
