Samarkand - Kirklees

I came to this restaurant for Valentine's Day and Sammy's really went above and beyond. The food was delicious, and they also had candles, rose petals, beautiful heart decorations, and chocolates to top it off. Well done to all the staff - it was a truly memorable evening.

The food and service at this restaurant are always top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. We've never had to make a reservation and always have a wonderful time. There is parking available just across the street from the restaurant, and the takeout is also fantastic.

I have been coming to this restaurant for 30 years. Lately, the curry has been very greasy compared to how creamy and tasty it used to be. The chicken tikka is also disappointing, with only four small and dry pieces. I used to always go to Sammy's and Julie's, but after the last few months, we have decided to try another place. It's a pity because no other restaurant can compare to Sammy's. There are hardly any customers in the restaurant these days.

Absolutely beautiful as usual, same as for the last 40 years! Same Julie recipes, delicious. Mostly gluten free apart from the obvious suspects. 10/10
