The Hilltop Bar Restaurant - Kirklees

Very nice staff. A varied menu. I recommend scotch eggs, braised beef and cheese cake! Very good value quality price.

My return visit to this bar was very disappointing. The menu was poor with limited options. The rump steak we ordered was cold and chewy. The atmosphere was lacking due to the absence of customers. It's unfortunate that such a beautiful hotel and bar in a fantastic location is unable to get the food right.

I usually don't leave reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience after seeing a young waitress (who appeared to be new) being rudely reprimanded by what I assume was the chef at the carvery. My wife and I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, as we don't go out for Sunday lunch to witness conflict. This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it will definitely be our last.

Good food had breakfast lunch and dinner here couldn't fault anything about it every meal was good and plenty of food on your plate

We used the bar and bar food at lunch time. Pretty basic standard fare but the service was good and helpful. We had breakfast in restaurant and again staff were immensely helpful.
