Comet Croissanterie Creamery - Kirkwood

The croissants here are to die for. They might look burnt on the outside but that's just all the butter having been bronzed in the oven. The insides are moist, flaky, and delicious. The ice cream is delicious too, with lots of creative flavor choices. They're amazingly friendly here and it makes for just a wonderful little neighborhood spot.

I just had what might be the best breakfast sandwich of my life. It featured microgreens on eggs, alongside shallots, sun-dried tomatoes, and a touch of bacon, all nestled in an incredibly buttery, light croissant. The atmosphere was lovely, with some nice books around to enjoy. I discovered this gem completely by chance while visiting the laundromat next door because my washing machine broke. I will definitely be returning!

The pastries here are delicious! Their breakfast sandwich is outstanding, and I absolutely love their ice cream—especially the key lime flavor, which I believe is the best ice cream in St. Louis!

If you can do it here for the odd hours, it is absolutely worth it. With six flavors of ice made in the house with local ingredients, only the samples are worth the trip. They are obviously super passionate about quality. The ice was amazing. Cookies looked great, but we could only pamper so much. Lattes are not as good as the original comet location, but still a great companion to the ice.

Thank you for saving the night! Came by to find them unexpectedly closed, they must be sold out for the festival. These great people heard our disappointed children when we left and ran some delicious chocolate cookies. In any case, more will be back.
