Crafty Ramen is probably one of my favourite fusion restaurants in KW!! I love the texture of the noodles and how flavorful the broth is as well as the pork and the seasoned egg. I have tried many items from the menu, but two of the ones that stick out to me the most is the Tokyo Salary Man and the Kaisen Warrior! I usually will order from here when I just really am not feeling like cooking or when I just have major cravings and I have tried the pork and the vegetarian version of the Tokyo Salary Man and I love both equally as much. I also feel that the portion size is perfect too, I'm never too full or unsatisfied after a bowl of ramen. Definitely give this place a try if you're a fan of Asian fusion cuisine
Full disclosure: this was my first time having ramen. I'm told that Crafty isn't super traditional, but all I know if that I enjoyed it immensely. The cashier was super friendly and helped us novices navigate the menu. We shared a few appetizers as well, and everything tasted great. The other patrons we talked to were regulars and told us other things to try when we go back.
Japanese inspired is a bit far. Nothing inspiring here. Nothing tasted quite right I'd recommend going a bit further south to Izna for some more flavour. The broth was kind of ok, but the main note is soy sauce. It was labeled as spicy, but I didn't notice any heat at all. Some of the noodles were clumped together. The pork was tender, but maybe a bit too tender. The gyoza was very disappointing. They were all stuck together (see photo) and the dipping sauce tasted like it was 100% high salt soya sauce. Not enough vinegar to balance, and way too salty. The staff are friendly, though but when I mentioned the disappointment with the gyoza and ramen, they just said that's how it's made here. The outdoor seating area is pleasant enough, though they have an assortment of chairs, some better than others.
Ordered through a delivery service. The three containers of ice cream I had ordered were missing entirely and the broth container had fallen over in the bag drenching the entire order in broth. The little bit I did manage to salvage did taste good though. I just hope you can find a better solution for transporting the broth because those flimsy cardboard containers are not leak-proof at all.
