Manitou Takeout - Kitchener

This place is a little tricky to find if you're not looking for it. There is little seating but the food is pretty good and there is lots of it. We were looking for Poutine and we were not disappointed. I enjoyed it and we had a heck o a meal. Enjoy

This is the "go-to" place in Kitchener for poutine and newfie fries. A family-sized poutine and a family-sized newfie fries will easily feed 8 people. We got some for our family visiting from the U.S. and they were very impressed. Good work, Manitou Takeout!

My belly is still full from an order of small Newfie fries. Very yummy fries, very friendly service and overall reasonably priced. Loaded Newfie fries came with dressing , gravy, peas and onions - a small order is a meal. Also had fish and chips. Fish was good, a heavier batter than most English style but still good. If you are in the area it's worth stopping in.

I had heard a lot about Manitou Take-out so I thought I would give it a try. Driving in there was a small line and most people were ordering fries or poutine, a couple hot dogs and a couple of large take-out orders.I had the traditional poutine and it was very good, crispy fries, rich gravy and lots of cheese. You can get specialty poutines with extra toppings like pulled pork but for me the classic poutine was just right. Give it a try for a quick lunch stop.

If you have a craving for poutine you MUST go here! The is fresh and fantastic the fresh are fresh hand cut and the gravy is great. They also use actual cheese curds! The staff if also SUPER nice, she chatted us up the entire time and it was so nice! This is my go to poutine place!!!
