Whiskey Jack's Restaurant - Kitchener

My family and I were visiting from out of town and during a recent trip to Kitchener, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant. We chose to sit on the patio and it was lovely. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. If you have the option of fries or a house salad with your meal, definitely go with the salad. The fries are standard everywhere, but the house salad was exceptional. We selected the blue cheese dressing and it was absolutely perfect.

Our family has been coming here for the wing special for many years; the wings are delicious with many flavours and the staff are great. Would recommend!

Went with a group of 6. We were there around 5pm. They seemed quite short staffed. Had to wait quite a while to get drink order. Then we waited even longer for our food to come out. Most all of us ordered Entre's. We were asked what side we would like so we asked what the sides were to pick from. The server DID NOT tell us that there was an UP charge for most of the items she listed. Therefore we were charged extra for onion rings and caesar salad. Now to the food. . . The one person in our group ordered a steak dinner he really enjoyed it. 3 of us ordered schnitzel. . . it was very dry and over cooked. The Caesar salad dressing was very sparse and had no flavor. One person ordered fish and chips she was very happy with her fish. The last one ordered the App Plater most of her food came out cold. Had to send the cheese dip back to be warmed up. The chicken wings were cold to the touch and the mushroom caps were luke warm when served. The dinner was very pricy, the service was very slow (other tables walked out). We were from out of town and researched where we would eat the menu looked good the prices did not seem to bad until we were up charged so much. A learning experience. Not likely that we will be back in the area for a while and we will not likely return.

Came into town to take family to local attraction for my mom birthday, decided we'd go for dinner before hand. I called during the week and made reservation since it'd be a bout group on Saturday night, when we arrived everything was ready for us including the booster seat and high chair for the kids. They had us in an area all alone, so we let the kids play and run around since other guest would not be disturbed. The staff did not get upset by this and said it was ok. Our server was excellent, answered all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Everyone loved the food they ordered and we had quite the variety from the menu with such a large group. The prices are very reasonable, if we're ever in the area again we will stop in for a bite for sure.
