Coastal Cravings - KITTY HAWK

Waited 1.5 hrs for a table when we were told 50-60 min, food was disappointing, we were charged for 3 appetizers we did not order but the waitress argued and would not remove it from the bill. No one in our party of 8 ever received a refill. As we were leaving the waitress made a rude comment to the man in our party (she asked how long we were gonna be in obx and he told her til Saturday, to which she replied “good luck with that” assuming she was referencing the 4 young children in our party. Worst piece of lobster we’ve ever had.

Our meals were seared scallops with rice and veggies (delicious) and chicken Alfredo (watery and dissatisfied).

BEWARE OF SCAMS! THIS PLACE RIPPED ME OFF!!!! Very nice waitress until we were charged for two different bills and although it was THEIR MISTAKE AMAZINGLY I NEVER GOT A REFUND NOR DID MY PARTNER!We received our check and my partner paid it only to find that it wasn 't the correct amount of what it should be so me being an honest person, I took the check up saying it was the wrong one and I thought she would only charge me the difference but NOPE! She charged me the FULL AMOUNT FOR THE SECOND CHECK TOO! I thought I would eventually get a refund for our first check but it NEVER HAPPENED! And not surprised to find other restaurants overcharged us in this area as well although they were a little more subtle about it. So whether you live there year round or are a tourist pay attention to your bill!

Chris was excellent.Food is great bbq, lobster roll, etc.Good beer and drink selection.Ice/water tastes different but that’s probably because we don’t live at the coast.

Enjoyed the hushpuppies and fried clam basket. Also tried the key lime martini, which was yummy. My husband had scallops and was very pleased.
