In 6 hotels asked, but there were no free rooms anymore, as there was a festival in the city. In short, we drove to Germany, as the next day this direction had to be driven anyway. The Navi survey showed Kleve and there we got a room in the Accent Hotel. Unfortunately there was neither restaurant nor bar, so we had to ask. The local Zur Post was recommended to us that only two roads should continue. In fact, we found the house after the road description and went into it. Like a peasant's room it mutates and as it was still really warm, we asked for an outskirts. The waiter made us aware that it would be a long way to the buffet. We didn't want a buffet, we said. This misunderstanding then clarified when looking into the map, because there were often courts: salad navch choice from the buffet or something similar. Really, it was late, we were tired and hungry, that really didn't matter. The terrace turned out to be an idyllic ambience with wind lights and we were not alone here either. The map was extremely meat-loaded, as I expected. Sometimes you have to go through as a vegetarian or you have to go hungry and thirsty to sleep. My companion decided for the hunter's carving and I chose the chicken breast fillet grilled with croquettes, all in the assumption that this fillet came from happy chickens in an art-friendly attitude now. We agreed with the carafe white wine 0.5 liter for 9.80 euros. By the way, the waiter who told us about the salad buffet served us here. He was an attentive host who liked to keep a chat. Our food came after about 30 minutes and I can only say that it was worth waiting. The meat was tender, the food was hot and the sauce was well seasoned. Actually, this typical German food is not so my case, as I can give up on sauces well, but we were really hungry and forgot everything to the last crumb. After that we ordered a carafe of wine, as we were assured that the restaurant was always open until 24.00. I prefer Mediterranean with little sauce and no meat, but in this situation we could certainly not walk better. The Jägerschnitzle was not too high at 12.50 and my court was also not too high at 12.50 euros.

August 2020 an appointment led me to Kleve today and for the night I chose Hotel Zur Post. It is located directly in the city center, at the in-house parking, the arrival at the vehicle is unproblematic. I had previously booked online, the reception was very friendly and worked smoothly. My room was large and spacious on the third floor. The bathroom is rather small, but sufficient. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with a delicious offer of various steak dishes. Very classic also the carving.
A trip to the Xanten North Sea and then here. The nose placed in the door already shows, here you can turn on well. This is also confirmed beyond expectations. Super meat quality, very delicate of chicken, pork steak, beef steak and a very excellent Pleskavica. The Pommes, wonderful! Dessert apple strudel with ice cream, caappucino... Very nice and funny hosts. It's not better. Let's get back!
Very delicious. Friendly service. We like to come back
