17th St Market Deli - Knoxville

I sat outside on a Saturday afternoon and observed the lively hustle and bustle of the marketplace. The service was excellent, but I wasn't in the mood to eat.

I have to be completely honest - I can't stand this restaurant. It's incredibly lazy and dirty. It seems like they can't decide if they want to be a dimly-lit pub or not.

If they had just one more staff member, it would greatly improve the flow of this restaurant. I visited here as part of a spontaneous bar hopping trip, and they only have a few employees.

Bastard bastard KING motherfuckers made for me the best sandwich I ever had. Fuck. This place literally ruined my life! Because when I eventually get another hankering for a sandwich, I'll have to pretend I like what I'm having unless it's at Market House Cafe. You piece of shit, Ethan... You broke my heart and my leg with how artfully you heaped more turkey meat on my bread than the law or GOD allows. How are you still employed when you are obviously breaking the law with your portion control? And the Manager? Where do I begin?? How dare he and/or she leave me no reason to hate this goddamn establishment? I tried to find dirty tables. I even looked in the bathroom for filth and couldn't even taste hair on the floor or toilet. Way to go making everyone else feel dirty with your immaculate restaurant. Pride cometh before the fall!

I 'll be brutally honest. I cannot stand this place. Its so 'scuzzy and dirty ' feeling inside. It 's like they aren 't sure if they are a dimly-lit pub for pints and darts or if they are an all natural-organic weekly deli offering crisp fresh lunches. Sorry but the vibe is confusing. It doesn 't work. It feels like a dirty college fraternity kitchen and none of the dudes want to straighten up the place. The service dudes at the counter give off the same exact vibe. Who wants to eat off of tables here? As for the coffee...well..it was fine. No way I 'll be back here.
