North On The Beach - Ko Pha-Ngan

Never thought I'd try poutine for the first time on a Thai island! I have no reference point, but I enjoyed it. My girlfriend had the salmon, which had a wonderfully flavored rice. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the water, and the owner was hospitable. Great spot for a romantic evening, for sure.

Nice restaurant in the north of Koh Phangan. However, food wise I would not rate it five stars as many other reviewers did. Agreed, the food is a bit above average compared to the rest of the island, but so is the price. I ordered a Greek salad which was tasty. However, a little bread on the side would be welcome. My friend ordered the mango chicken, he found the chicken a bit dry but overall he found the meal tasty. The French fries are really amazing! Be aware though that if you order them you get a few (medium funny) jokes from the owner for free. The private beach with a complimentary canoe and sup board was what convinced me to give 4 stars. That was a really nice treat after finishing our lunch.

The owners are the best! total personable and they go out their way to make sure you have an excellent experience! NORTH is a wonderful location for sunset drinks, as the sun sets over Chaluklum Bay and it is a great place to enjoy a great meal from a simple but tasty menu! You can't go wrong! We're coming back!

Its a very cosy place with a great view and calm atmosphere. Perfect for a great meal, right? They have that too... That place has only a few items on the menu but that is how they've been able to give them all very good attention... a lot of the stuff are homemade... The burgers home made icecream are AMAZING. The owners love what they do, speak english perfectly and are the nicest people EVER.
