Freshly good tasting meal served simply and efficiently. no menu. they get what is good in the kitchen
I really liked this place. they make a meal where you can make a small salad, a few samosa, three small curries, rice, roti and a cup chai at the end. I'm practically rolling out. I'm a little more pricier than what I usually eat for dinner (1200) but it was a nice experience. a bit ghee on the red and a bit more kick in one of the curries would have made it 5 stars. vegans: one of the curries had windshield wipe and yogurt in, the salat had a dressing and chai has milk in. the employees speak English so they simply explain their needs.
I had the lunch menu. really liked the small starter salad and the green pfeffer orange sauce. I wanted to eat something more, but we've still worth a lot.
I walked in, explained that I was vegan and asked if they could accommodate me. At first, the lady said “no, I’m afraid we can only do vegetarian”. Then, I heard another woman’s voice speaking in Hindi and the lady began to ask me questions. After a bit of back and forth between me, the lady and the voice, we were able to reach a compromise. The food was really good! I had samosas, three curries, chapati, and rice. A good value at ¥1200. The restaurant seems to be a family-run operation: the voice later turned out to what I supposed to be the mother of the lady I was speaking to. Although it took a little while for them to warm up, the service experience, in the end, was very enjoyable. I’d definitely go back the next time I’m in Kobe.
