Almanak - Koebenhavn

Fabulous restaurant in perfect location on Copenhagen waterfront. Delicious food served by friendly and attentive staff. Fine dining at its best.

We had booked this canal side restaurant to celebrate my birthday in Copenhagen. 2 on our table had the set dinner, which was well presented and cooked. My husband and ordered the seafood platter... which seemed to include all manner of shellfish, cold and grilled. Service was slow and lacking...which was a shame, otherwise a good evening.

Food was ok, but it is not the place to go if you are hungry. I have eaten at lots of superb restaurants, but at Almanak the dishes were parodically small. After three dishes we had to finish with bread just to feel that we had eaten at all. And neither I nor my two friends are big eaters....

Great experience, from the friendly staff, to the great food (particularly the pea soup to die for) and the lovely view. We were in Copenhagen for 6 dinners and this was our favorite.

We enjoyed a Danish style lunch in this restaurant. It was a hot day and the view was amazing. Our lobster salad sandwiches were delicious. A perfect place to enjoy the boats passing by and people enjoying a swim. Service was good.
