Always a safe and great spot. We’ve been here oh so many times and just keep coming back. Always nice atmosphere and great service. Food also good and lots Of great wine. This saturday we went for late lunch that was just perfect. Tatar to one Of us and fish for the other.
A great place to grab a glass of wine on a lazy afternoon. A few items on the menu, French inspired, and generally very good. Service was fine. Street is interesting. This is a street full of France inspired shops. This place feels like a kind of anchor for the set. Give it a try.
This is a cute place on one of the most charming streets with a great atmosphere, but I can’t stop feeling like we were taken for a bit of a ride. The good: Atmosphere. Both the place and the street has a great ambiance. The food. Well made and tasty. The wine was interesting. The not good: The service. The waiter we had (young woman (American who spoke danish? had no clue about what she was serving. Didn’t know what wine it was, what the grape was or where it was from. Since it is served with the menu, she should know. When asked “what grape did you say?” The answer was “I think I am pronouncing it correctly, but I don’t know it and it does not say on the bottle”. She had no idea what area it was from or any description on besides “it’s a white wine”. Come on...! The menu. Calling it a 5 course menu is a joke when the first serving is fish on one plate and a carrot on the other and then claiming that is two courses, and second serving is pork on one plate and fries in another and then claiming it is another two courses. That just stinks of trying to pull a fast one. Sell it as a three course dinner, not five. A hint to the restaurateur, when you serve three glasses of wine on the wine menu with the food, it’s a three course dinner! The lack of flexibility. One guest asked if it was possible to get cheese instead of dessert (doesn’t eat desserts and was told absolutely not because “when you buy a menu nothing can be changed”... mkay. One other guest then ordered the cheese plate at an extra cost instead just to have it served 15 minutes after the desserts, ie when all others were done. It can be argued you don’t do changes to the menu but it again just smells of not caring about the guests, especially when served so much later it just points to a poor communication with the kitchen and unprofessional staff. I would go again for some ala carte plates or some wine with a friend, but it’s not a place you should rush too visit and your expectations should be set on “average”. In general there are many many many better restaurants at the same or lover price range, some even on the same street.
We had the full four course with wines. We topped with oysters and champagne. It was very very good. Suddenly the lights went out and hell broke loose. But only for a few minutes. All of the staff was calm and the service could continue with warm and great dishes. A note to the restaurant; Try to vary the ingredients a bit so the same cheese is not in two courses. Remember to tell the guest how the food should be eaten (figer or knife/fork/spoon) to guide the experience. Definitely worth a visit.
