My wife and are here Saturday 4th February 2023. Great staff service and excellent freshly made pizza, garlic bread etc. Brilliant 80's background music playing very busy with local people which is always good sign. Hidden gem which I'm so glad we found and tried.
My wife heard about this place form a friend, so thought we'd try it. Lovey setting, the view of Nyhavn was stunning, but service and food quality were sub-par. We arrived at six thirty on a Friday evening, found an empty table that was piled with neglected rubbish and sat there anyway. Nobody came to clean it (which should have been a clue) but we hung out anyway. After 5-10 minutes we cleaned the table ourselves and my wife went in to order. She came back and said they had only one kind of beer, so she order two Carslberg Classics and a spicy pizza. When the waitress came out with the beer she apologised and said the kitchen was too busy to cook the pizza. We smiled, paid for the beer and said we'd come back another day. Just as we were finishing the beer, the waitress showed up with the pizza. I can best describe it as a puddle of red poo surrounded by a crispy crust with a splattering of mystery flesh, whole Padrón peppers (nothing spicy about those) and lumps of mozzarella or something lobbed around it. You shouldn't have to eat pizza with a spoon and they did not provide one either. We ate some of the crust, tried to shovel away the goo, but got disgusted and gave up. I'm 67 years old and this was the worst pizza I ever tried to eat in my life (have been to more than 30 countries) and the service was not much better. We returned the pizza , by carrying it back into the shop ourselves, and paid around 2.5 the normal price for a pizza in Copenhagen. Lovely view, the one type of beer they served was cold, but if you are looking for more, be warned and stay away. Great example of a pure tourist trap and we fell into it even though we live here, which made it feel even worse!!
Lost our order and had no clue when we asked. Then kept saying on its way. 30 minutes later still waiting. Try somewhere else. To be fair pizza was tasty when it did arrive.
Visiting Gorms was not a very pleasant experience for us. They forgot my friend’s order even though we were basically the only people in the restaurant, and the waiters seemed to have time to chitchat. The pizzas were very bland. We had to ask for chili oil to make the pizzas taste like anything. We were by far done eating when my friend’s food finally arrived, and she had to eat alone. Even then, the staff didn’t give any sort of compensation for the over 40 min wait. The waiter even had the audacity to ask if everything had been okay! All in all it was a very disappointing experience both in terms of the service and the food.
