Lobster was very good though small. Lobster crisps are fun to try. Decent wine/champagne offered by the glass. Friendly service. French press coffee was delicious and comes with a special treat! Great people watching.
Hummer has amazing food. Local mussels to die for. The pink shrimp that we have only had in Copenhagen are truly amazing. The French premium oysters are large yet are the perfect blend of size, taste and the brine. Salad of the more bitter greens like endive is the perfect compliment. And they had Dark and Stormy (a favorite drink of mine) made with Havana rum. So tasty to have a favorite drink made with good quality rum! Eat outside and watch the world go by along the canal! We have visited Copenhagen 3 times and it is our go to place. When we are home we dream of being able to eat there
The chips were oven chips, the tartare sauce was mean and thinned out; and the moules came in a thin watery sauce. The menu was so overpriced as to make it laughable.
I had a very enjoyable evening at Hummer. The food is good, fresh seafood and a very tasty fishsoup. The staff is very friendly. They let me taste two different wines to choose from. Several options by the glass. I asked a last minute change of main course which they accommodated with a smile. It is at a relatively quieter part of Nyhavn and sitting outside with a view to beautiful warehouses was lovely.
We found this place just scrolling through places to eat during our 3 day stay in Copenhagen! What a treasure! The food was amazing, the wine pairing fantastic and the service was impeccable. The prices were fantastic. What a gem in the heart of the Nyhavn area!
