Great service, friendly and quick. Nice to sit inside and outside. The food was really good, please try the mussels. The location is also nice because not too crowded.

Mixture between a mussels joint and a Brauhaus, and the waiters accordingly. The beer is good, the seating is rustic, the mussels are good but surprisingly not brilliant, and it's all quite expensive I'd say, double from Belgium. In fact, some of the Brauhaus food classics seemed better than the signatory mussels, but in a way that's good. It's a very good place for what it is.

Stopped for a few drinks and schnitzel for our child. Couldn’t fault a thing. High quality food and drink, lovely atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. The prices aren’t bad either. A great place to stop if you’ve been shopping in the area.

We had a table in beer donkey reserved for Friday 06.08.21 and Saturday 07.08.21 and were very satisfied. Great place, super tasty food, nice selection of dishes and the basket Klaus that served us has its heart in the right place. He looked at everything and made his job really great. No question, in the beer egg, you got the best shell dishes in Cologne for many years. In early February 2014, the former tenant retired after 30 years, but of course it should not be the end of the over 700-year beer-esel tradition. The beer egg was Cologne's shell house number one, which must also remain. In addition to traditional mussels in the Rhine, more than twenty other mussels were offered in the beer egg.
