Very warm and friendly welcome. Very helpful when choosing what to eat from the menu. Traditional German food . Very delicious and filling . I would eat here again . Recommend you to give it a try

I'd like to share my experience at visiting this very nice local German restaurant. My intitial restaurant choice was a different one nearby where I wasted 45 mins before it opened and finally discovered that no tables were available w/o reservation. But I am even glad I found this replacement where I ordered a typical Bavarian dish “Gebratener Leberkäse”. A lot of space and there is even a patio inside the restaurant. Also attentive personnel, friend local guests and calm atmosphre. Menu and service available in English. To sum it up, I enjoyed a lot and can recommend this place

Our hotel was located within 200 metres of the pub/restaurant so we thought we'd try something local rather than a walk across the bridge to the old town. First thing to say is don't be put off by the locals standing outside smoking (it is their local pub... or the dark bar area, there's plenty of seating beyond including the outside eating area. I was with my 15 year old son and we were acknowledged by the friendly bar staff as soon as we stepped through the door. The front bar is like any old pub with dark wood panelling and this is where the locals drink their very nice beer, walk through the bar and it opens into a large restaurant area which opens out into the garden. The food they serve, everything from XXL burgers to steak and sweet pancakes for desert is delivered quickly. However we were here to eat schnitzel, particularly my son who'd never tried it. We both ordered schnitzel, I had it with the mushroom sauce and my son had it viennese style (that's plain with no sauce for us uneducated brits it came with chips and a side salad and the portions were massive. The salad alone would have been a main course for my tree hugging vegetarian wife. Both schnitzels were excellent and big, so much so we had to pass on having desert we were full... Top tip if you are drinking beer there, when you've had enough, put your beer mat on the top of your glass or they keep replacing it with a full one by magic, well it appears like that after you've had a few... Highly recommended.

We visited the BON today. We had a very tasty haxe, as a supplement there was Krautsalat and a slice of bread. Nice operation was nice and flicking. Rarely had an empty glass on the table. Top service.

The food was Mega. The salad from the extra leaf... salad with cake and as dessert small pancakes with blueberries and vanilla ice cream, highly recommended. Everything tasted around. The service was also great.
