La Patata - Köln

Clear recommendation and always. You like to go and often here. Ma was there the first time and not the last! Stay so warm and tasty. Always full.

La Patata has excellent food and good service but the worse owner!! The longer the owner runs her business this way, she will lose her customers. I was there twice and made reservations twice but every time I showed up, the owner said no reservation has been made. The second time I have told her politely that it 's strange that I 've booked the table through the phone and online and still is not written in her booking. She replied with the most aggressive tone and horrible facial expressions, your name is difficult, that 's why . My name is spelt with three letters. She finally found us a table but her attitude was just the poorest customer service I have ever came across. Her staff were so embarrassed by her. They tried to accommodate us and was friendly. There are plenty of good Spanish restaurants in Köln. I 'll never go there ever again!

I know, when it comes to Tapas, everybody knows THE place to be. But I really like La Patata, for me it's the best and I tried several. Best to visit in the summer, so you can sit outside. Because, you know, it's Cologne, our Restaurants are really tiny ... You can chooes between let me guess 20 different Tapas. You just need to ask. And the wine is delicious as well.

I came with a large group and was looking forward to spending a nice time with Friends. The service at this restaurant is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Upon arrival we were told that food would only be explained once, so we should not ask any questions after on what she is about to explain. (never heard this from a restaurant before). I brushed this off, and took it upon myself to explain the large group what she had explained about the food. A couple members of the group decided not to join shortly before arrival, and therefore some seats were empty. I advised her that they would not be coming and she can please use them for other customers, which she did. When it was time to pay she stated that 60 EUR was owed on top of the larger bill, since my group was not complete. I advised her that the empty seats were used for other customers therefore she did not make any loss, however if she calculated the 60 EUR within her accommodation I would be more than gladly to take 60 EUR in drinks or dessert. She said there would be no food or drinks and she would like the 60 EUR extra and stormed off. She made the group I was with feel uncomfortable and angry that no tip was left over, she made her staff feel completely embarrassed and apologetic. I will never be going back to this restaurant again and I advise any one who is looking for a nice restaurant with good wine and tapas to try something else in Cologne, as these are in abundance. (try La Manuela on Mozartstr, its fresh and absolutley delicious)This place is definitely not worth your time or patience.

We ordered a meat plate and fish plate for our family of five. These plates overwhelmed us. The quality was very good. Service was warm and welcoming despite 4 of 5 of us not knowing German.
