Oruc Kebap - Köln

Very good selfmade Bread. Top Meat, fresh Salad. Nice guys in nice atmosphere. If you want a really good Kebab you have to go there

The food at Oruc Kebap was tasty, but the service was poor and unfriendly. I got a döner kebap and asked for it without red and white cabbage. I repeated myself twice and again a third time as the man making my kebap began to put on both red and white cabbage. He took most of the cabbage off, but there were still bits remaining. Then when I asked him to put a second scoop of spicy sauce on my kebap, he ignored me. I asked again in case he didn't hear me, and I was ignored a second time. I went there around lunchtime on a Saturday, and there were only two people behind me in the line. I would be able to understand this sort of service if the place was busy, but it was a relaxed situation.

Okay this is a Kebap place, open until late and where you can really get , what in my opinion is the best kebap in town. Nothing fancy , just good street food made to order, quick and really tastefully . I had lagashun rolled with salad meat and their spicy sauce that was simply mouthwatering and pushed me to get immediatley a second one just becuase it will take a long time before I will get the chance to taste a kebap as this one again

This place does good turkish food but is especially popular as a late evening stopover during a pub crawl etc on Zülpicher Str :))

I've just got back from a great weekend in Cologne and after a bit of research was given the tip of going to Oruc Kebap (Heinsbergstr. 1 3 mins walk from Zulpicher Platz and other stops).I cannot recommend it enough, I genuinely think it was my favourite sandiwch related product I've ever eaten. Freshly baked bread, decent amount of donor chicken with spicy sauce, garlic mayo and lots of salad for 4 euro.It's only a simple shop with about 10 stools, but that's all part of the fun. Amazing quality and highly recommended. Lonley Planet recommends the Falafel Salem; which was nice, but this was far superior.
