Restaurant Mongo - Köln

We went for a visit in Cologne as we were starving and stumbled upon this place.It is a mediocre Italian/German/International cusine.As you can guess if you are served that many dishes they are good but not great.It seems as if most of the ingredients are convenience Merchandise, nothing seems handmade. Service was not bad.That's all. Wait, Cocktails are great! We had non alcoholic Cocktails which were delicous!

Having been turned down by a reputable restaurant nearby, we came here by chance looking for some good schnitzel. They have good value German wine and very tasty food, as well as a complementary salad for starter. But most importantly, all the staff were cheerful, pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to help. The menu also had a variety of pizzas/burgers for those of that persuasion. Would definitely recommend for some German food on a budget.

The people are friendly and serve with a big smile. The food is diverse and everyone can enjoy something for sure. The spicing is diverse as well, and you can change it with every meal. (Very nice solved with a small piece on the corner of your plate). They serve quick. There is enough room for a lot of people to enjoy there food. And it's nearby the Köln Messe. We were there with 6 people in total and had a great and relaxing time.

Recommended by a local, happy hour has attractive prices (like pizza for 4 euros), chilly ambient, nice staff.. pizza has a bit too crusty edge so be careful!
