You had to actively seek them out to order. I was disappointed with the expensive detox/cleansing programs, especially considering the lack of knowledge and assistance from the staff. Despite that, the overall facilities at the sanctuary were lovely and the beach was clean, beautiful, and tranquil.
To set expectations, visitors should come to this restaurant for its atmosphere, location, and extensive menu, not for cheap food. It is a beautifully designed oasis, offering generous portions of high-quality ingredients. Connected to some of the coolest accommodations on the island, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the south looking to escape the chaos of the world. The walk over the mountain of Haad Yuan adds to the feeling of being in a completely isolated and untouched place. The resort is expertly built, with the restaurant itself being big and beautiful, located right on the beach with a perfect breeze. The staff are incredibly friendly and the menu offers a variety of delicious and culturally enveloping options, including Thai mainstays like massaman curry as well as unique dishes like dahl, hummus wraps, miso soup, and hearty breakfast options. The restaurant even offers a customized menu for detox or breakfast options for guests staying at the resort. Overall, this restaurant offers a unique and memorable dining experience that cannot be replicated elsewhere. It is recommended for those looking for a special dining experience and escape from everyday life.
During my stay at the Sanctuary, I frequented the restaurant for meals. While they promote themselves as a Vegetarian and seafood eatery, I had some difficulty finding vegan options. The breakfast and dessert choices that were labeled as vegan on the menu were satisfactory. For instance, I enjoyed a delicious mixed grain porridge before departing. However, the main courses did not have any vegan markers. One of the senior staff members was very accommodating and ensured that the chef prepared my meal without any errors. On the contrary, another staff member rudely dismissed my request for assistance, suggesting I opt for a salad instead. Despite this, the staff kindly mailed me my forgotten laptop sleeve. When they are accommodating, they truly go above and beyond. The food, once I received it, was enjoyable. I relished a curry and some snacks, and the juices were exceptional. However, given that I was staying at a relatively expensive holistic detox resort in Thailand that advertised a vegetarian restaurant, I did not anticipate needing the level of patience typically required at an omnivorous establishment.
If they are looking for the perfect place to enjoy either calm, yoga, detox or also this beautiful nature, I would recommend coming to sanctuaries. the bay in which it is settled is magical, no words can describe it. but note that it is a remote location to reach only with taxi or jungle taxi. greet to nolan and all workers of sacredness
So glad that I don't have my reservation here without. this place has been in my wish list for 5 years. always wanted to make a healthy yoga, vegan retreat. today I had the opportunity to come to sank on the sea, I rent a long **** for the whole day and I decided to come here for vegan, clean and healthy lunch. what a disappointment, just a few vegan options, I order Mexican burrito and was very oily, and that extra on the side tempo also very drowned on oil. the place for my taste is very abandoned, does not look like the place I saw in the pictures. also they do not respond to their asking by measuring more and I felt very ignored.
