I don't want to go back to the city. first, let me say that the service was excellent. my server was attentive, brought out the things in a good tempo and got everything right. but here are the problems that were of importance: the spaghetti, which came to my entrée as a side order, was extremely outdated. almost muddy, with some noodles. I haven't eaten most. the chicken parmigiana was also boiled. it was baked until it was dry and excessively crispy. it was only possible because it was covered in sauce and melted cheese. I also ordered to go a sausage pizza. the top of the bag was saturated with fat when I received it. it just got worse during the trip to home. the sausage itself was finely ground and had an unusual taste. the pizza was extremely thin and the crust was dried to a crisp and black to burn the edges. so, everything I ordered was boiled excessively. there was only no love for detail in his preparation. Moreover, the dining room itself was not something I would like to repeat. I stood in front of the kitchen, the doors to which all the time remained open. So I looked into the kitchen that didn't make a nice evening meal. that was regrettable, because the dining room itself was comfortable. making worse was the fact that music blows so loud out of the kitchen that I could actually hear it more clearly than the soft music played in the dining room. it was not a genre of music that was important to me, and was really incompatible with eating in an Italian restaurant. the music from the kitchen has attracted me as a diner. that alone would have been enough to not come back. I am surprised that neither a manager nor anyone ever thought about the effects of the kitchen on the few of us who tried to enjoy our dinner in a somewhat quiet environment. all in all, a very disappointing experience. I expected so much more of a facility that was apparently here for so long.
Was to the birthday of my daughter in the city and had to find lasagne for her birthday dinner. I called at 1:30 a.m. and martinos was more than accommodating. I ordered a 1/2 pan lasagne, a family salad, brotsticks and garlic bread. they had my order hot and ready for picking up at 5:15. the salat was super fresh, the brot was delicious, and the lasagne was out of this world! I had never been in the restaurant, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't disappointed in any way! I would be very happy!
Great place for pizza and salad! her menu was full of other dishes I wanted to try. that would be a great place for parties, date night or out friends. the waitress was great. the restroom was clean. there is a separate bar area. if they are on the way through kokomo this is a place to look at!
We met the owner and she was a delightfully interesting lady with stories about Italy and proud of their restaurant's Hall of Fame status, Their pizza is awesome and amongst the best I've ever tried. The pizza is simply perfect and generous in size and the staff are always great. It's always great to stop by for pizza and beer there. A true Kokomo treasure!
When I want to grab Italian food in Kokomo, I always think of Martino's first. For me and my family, it has the most authentic, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. We have been going to Martino's for years. Their pizzas are always great. Their bread and buns can't be found elsewhere. All the food is delicious. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I can't remember a time I had a negative experience at Martino's.There are a lot of great restaurants in Kokomo. There are even some places that have decent Italian food. But, when I was in San Francisco for four years, the only restaurant I genuinely missed was Martino's Italian Villa. It's that good.
