Taku Japanese Steakhouse - Kokomo

I have passed by this restaurant countless times but never considered stopping until yesterday. My wife and her friend, both from Indonesia, and I decided to dine there. The food was incredible, and the restaurant was spotless. Interestingly, our server was also from Indonesia!

I've been dining here for years and have consistently had a fantastic experience. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh, and the food is expertly prepared with generous portions that arrive quickly. If you're looking for a model of a well-run business, this place is it. Keep up the excellent work! If you're in the area and craving hibachi or just a regular sit-down meal, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Still the best sushi in Kokomo! I had the C1 combo with tuna, and I added on soup and a ginger dressing salad, along with a spicy tuna roll. Everything was delicious!

This restaurant offers entertainment for the entire family! The chefs were not only entertaining but also created a lively atmosphere. The hibachi cooking is performed right in front of you, and they even toss food for you to catch in your mouth! Each chef gives personal attention to every guest. The meals were outstanding, with generous portions. We had a party of 13, ranging in age from 4 and up. I wasn't sure what to order for my picky 6-year-old, but he absolutely loved the marinated fried chicken and the yum yum sauce!

We were seated immediately upon arrival. The food was tasty overall, although the shrimp were a bit overcooked. The portion sizes were generous. The staff was both attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Although I didn’t receive the fried ice cream for my birthday that was mentioned during the phone call, I did appreciate the 50% discount on my meal. I would definitely return again.
