Waahalkada is one of the recommendable places to eat on your way to the central side of the country. It 's located right away on the Colombo Kandy road. Waahalkda has a unique appearance to itself just looks like an old suthupa 's protection barriers ' look. This place has its own parking spaces without any disturbance. On the day we travelled, for the lunch buffet, there were 6 8 types of curries including Mallum, Pickel and Pol Sambol. Each one of these dishes had its kind of unique flavour to themselves. I find myself obsessed with Mango curry, Mallum and Fish curry. It was a great combo. Also the selection of rice Red raw or Samba made it easier to taste it. The atmosphere was also great, they do have a rear view of a water stream going beneath. The rear balcony gives a calming view. The bathrooms are also cleaned and okay. Meals were priced at LKR 950.00 per person with desserts of choice ice cream and Bananas. Service was also friendly.
If you like to experience an authentic Sri Lankan home cooked lunch along the Kandy-Colombo road, this is the place! The lunch buffet reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. My first choice when it comes to lunch on the Colombo-Kandy road . The staff is extremely helpful and will go out of their way to assist you when in need. Highly recommend this place for lunch and breakfast on your way through Warakapola
This is a frequently visited place of ours on our way to Kandy. Best place for lunch Buffett in the area. Shop is very clean and faces a beautiful waterway outside. The Buffett spread is also really good.
