The menu has some elements that are vegan or can be veganized, and workers understand what is vegan. I had the vegan pizza that came with “Veankäse”. the vegan cheese was actually smoked tofu shrunk. it was nice, but a little salty and there was a bit too much for me (they were very generous with portion that is in the really great.) the pizza itself was huge and the basic was good. I also had a seasonal salate on the side that was beautiful and fresh. the cocktails were not amazing. updated by previous review on 2022-06-01
Cavtat is not an oasis for vegans. However, this restaurant offers a labeled vegan pizza that comes with crushed tofu instead of cheese. Although the effort is estimated, the pizza is quite bland and dry. We have eaten here several times as we found it difficult to find other places that offer vegan options. I also tried the spaghetti Napolitana, which was good, and the Arribiata, which was tasty but not sharp at all. The Greek salad was also an option without the feta. Staff understand what vegan means and are polite. The restaurant is located directly on the edge of the water, so it is very pleasant. Updated by previous review on 2022-08-29
While the only vegan option on their menu is pizza, the restaurant can make many of their dishes vegan upon request. The pizza was a bit bland, but the vegetable risotto, penne Arrabbiata (without Parmesan), and spaghetti Neapolitan were all delicious alternatives. The penne dish was particularly outstanding. The portions were generous and well-priced, making it our most affordable meal during our stay. We enjoyed our experience so much that we dined there two nights in a row. The staff were also friendly and attentive.
The vegan options in the area in Cavtat and Dubrovnik are sparse, so it was comforting to find somewhere with a selected vegan option on the menu. The only selected vegan option, however, was a pizza. The “Vegan cheese” was only rubbed tofu that left the pizza quite tasteless, but it was fine. The pizza was a good size. The view was breathtaking and made it a beautiful evening. Nice staff.
