If you give your china restaurant the name china restaurant shows that not exactly much creativity that you miss even in the unfriendly service you feel as hospitable rather annoying. the food was as good as possible until the shanghai sauce which was inedible. too bad was better
Eating was ok, not particularly overwhelming but also not bad. unfortunately too little meat for too much sauce. personal was very friendly and helpful.
During a stay in constanz, we at the China restaurant at the marketplace have eaten 28 gunt and inexpensive at midday. the restaurant is a bit difficult to find, it is right from the railway station seen in 1. The local is discreetly Chinese decorated and liked. at our arrival most tables were either reserved or already occupied; it is worth booking a table. The service is fast and friendly, the lunch card inexpensive and rich. duck, huh, fish, lamb, pig and bark dishes are accompanied by sweet, soybean, fried vegetables and natural rice.Included in the menue price are either early rolls, salat or a soup.We took a good time. The bark was excellent with soybeans. We have ever a beer 0.4. e was very mouthful and fits well with the food.
I am not so keen to write this review as When a place gets too popular, their standards usually drop. But it is really by far the best Chinese food we had in Europe ( we haven't been to too many but enough as even the "best Chinese restaurants" in western countries are typically kinda rubbish in our opinion ) , so I am reluctantly sharing my latest find. My Husband and I were hungry and desperate for our Chinese food fix, this small entrance leads to a dark stairway up to the second floor. we weren't even sure that the restaurant was opened as most restaurants take a break between lunch service hours and dinner service hours, well it was. Behind a tinted glass door, the restaurant had a stereotypical decor of a dated Chinese restaurant with lanterns and wooden panels. It didn't look particularly inviting and to be honest, we were prepared to be disappointed. The lady that served us was very nice and gave us some recommendations and directed us to the last page when she knew we were of Chinese heritage. I think those listed on the last page of the menu are probably the authentic Chinese flavours which are not tweaked to suit the taste of the locals. These items were also listed in the main menu or maybe I am wrong, they are just a list of their most popular dishes. We had a spinach stir fried in garlic, it was good. Not overly oily and too salty as in most Chinese restaurants. Next we had a shanghainese crispy duck, it was actually very very good, although it was deep fried, it wasn't oily, and the gravy was not starchy and excessively salted. Lastly we had this pork dish 回锅肉, it was also delicious. The food was of good restaurant quality and typically requires a skilled Chef for these dishes to make them this good. I cannot comment on the rest of the dishes. But We had one of the best meals since relocating to Europe and the prices were reasonable. We are excited to return to try the other dishes .My Husband and I are Singaporeans of chinese heritage. We have travelled extensively in Europe, and we generally avoid Chinese food here as they are too oily and too salty and sometimes inedible. We were pleasantly surprised and delighted with this find. Do us a favour, keep this place to yourself.
