Eat and ambiente: the caffe has a daily vegetarian lunch set (soup, main course, side, drink) for approx. 1200 yen and a cake set (coffee or tee, cake) for approx. 1200 and various coffee or tea drinks. the staff are friendly, and have made us a vegan lunch when their daily special (quech) was not. the caffe also shows and distributes the work of local ceramic artists, and the cafe owner honorably manages us in the workshop, by one of the artists, because we were so interested in his work. he has actually taken us there in his car! updated from the previous rating on 2013-10-11
I came for an early tee and was pleasantly surprised. the tofu cheesecake was great, the tee is organic, and the personal is charming. as the caffe is also an art gallery, they can also enjoy the place even more.
A friend and I tried a muffin and roll. they were tasty enough, we ordered a sortiment of delicious sandwiches and rolling for the train. everything in the display case was vegan. the main restaurant should be opened a little later the same day, so I could not taste anything else.
Here was delicious. the existing pictures make it fair. the berry cake was great. we tried to go back the next day and it was closed- not sure all hours, but it was open on Sunday afternoon and closed on Monday afternoon. it has a whole children's playground that kept my 2,5yo all the time when we were there!
I really enjoyed eating at Bon On Shya, the food was delicious, fresh and wholesome and the service was warm and welcoming! I really recommend trying their tofu cheescake. Great alternative to shojin ryori in temples.
