Feedback gevenBaba Nyonya is pretty nice when you meet the restaurant from the top. Food preparation time was averaged with good presentation and the taste was also quite good. But I had the feeling that there was something on the expensive side and could be a little cheaper. Nevertheless, the set options help so that you order smaller portions of dishes at somewhat cheaper prices, so mix and match with the ala-carte dishes.
Nice ambience. Order food via the Chit leaf. I love the Chincha fried eggs. Green chicken curry and fruit rojak are average I feel. Large shrimps for seafood fried rice, but it is abit oily. Skip the mixed vegetables. The decor is beautiful.
Nice place for Malaysian dishes. The place is open from 7.30 a.m., where they serve Nasi Lemak Bungkus, a typical Malaysian breakfast favourite. I ordered a Cendol during lunch. The ingredients were frozen, not so good. But the rest of the dishes are fine. The price is moderate.
Although the nonya dishes are not authentic, they are delicious. The curry chicken capitan, fruit rojak, tonpot vegetables curry are full-bodied. The chicken lor bah and petai prawn are average. Dinner for 5 cost RM150 .
This place is packed catering for mainly office crowd. Service is a bit slower during this time. As such, choose a later or earlier time to avoid the packed crowd. We had the nasi lemak fried chicken, pongteh chicken, sambal long beans, cencaluk omelette with cendol and bobochacha as desert. The fried chicken seems undercooked, hence the drop in one star. The pongteh chicken is quite good as were the sambal long beans and cencaluk omelette. The sambal weren’t that spicy as i hardly sweated Coffee is just so-so, aint great but not too bland either. For all these, the bill came up to 121.55 (including all the 16% service taxes), errr so its a bit on the pricy side. Service is good and attentive but we can see the service staff is really busy all the time.
