8 ringgit and I was assured it was all vegan. Lots of vegetable options and service with a smile!!
First off many people complain about the atmosphere. Nothing special but fine to me. Secondly, for what is it, it's a bit overpriced. I payed 13 ringgit for what I payed 8 ringgit in Penang. Also I think the water here is expensive, you must buy bottle compared to other shops, you can buy glass for 20 or 50 sen.
I found the food very basic and not very tasty. Also, the food was not warm. Nevertheless, it was cheap (6 ringgits) and satisfactory (if you ad some soy sauce).
Had a fantastic lunch here. A few things to note: 1. The food court was a totally pleasant environment. Not sure what other commenters are reacting to. It 's just a real deal Malaysian food court with local folks doing their thing. 2. The dining itself was excellent! Really good food. Lots of processed soy, as is standard for the Chinese joints, but also tons of plain veggie dishes. 3. Only downside: There was one non vegan dish, and it wasn 't marked I had to ask one of the folks behind the counter. But she was very friendly and worked through the language barrier with me until I was confident that everything else was 100% vegan. Also, the woman working the register was super friendly; she chatted me up and asked if I was vegan, using that term specifically. (I said I was and she said Good job! and smiled big. That 's all to say that they are somewhat savvy on this front. I suspect if they get more explicitly vegan customers, they 'll get better at marking the dishes. I 'd been sticking with nearby San Sann, because I 'd read such great things about it, but this place was much preferable, for my money. Better seasoned and better cooked fare (tender veggies, not overdone . Nice folks, and just as cheap. I got a big plate for 7RM. Support this place!
