Golden Rax Pizzabuffet - Kuopio

Golden Rax pizzabuffet is a chain restaurant, which is why i was really surprised when I visited the Rax in Kuopio. The tables were messy, the pizza tasted poor and the salads didn't look tempting. But hey, at least it's affordable and quick!

Rax chain has buffets all over Finland. Basic idea is the same in every place. Salad and pizza in a buffet. If you like it, this is your place.

Buffet table with pizzas, salads seasonal extra portions (hamburgers etc. . Cheap price includes non-alcohol drinks, warm food, coffee and with 1€ extra charge soft ice-cream. No service to the table. Food is ok, not anything special. Price is cheap and students can also get student discount with Finnish student card. Place is quite non-classy but usually clean. The view to the Kuopio market square is fabulous (but right now kind of crappy instead (because of worksite . For people who want have easy dinner with cheap price. Not for romantic dinners. :

In addition to dining in, they also offer take-away pizzas and salads. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, providing a beautiful view of the marketplace. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, especially the surprisingly delicious pizzas that stood out from the usual bland buffet offerings.

The buffet dinner is reasonably priced at around 11 euros. I enjoyed the variety of salads and the grilled chicken. However, the pizza was just average in taste.
