You can decide to book a table in the building or outside, I also had a really cool service, the waitress was helpful, polite and available. The prices for main dishes are from 12 to 40 euros. The wine list was HUGE with all kinds of wines, I only tried the house wine and it was acceptable. I tried all kinds of bars in Kuopio for an acceptable espresso, and espresso here is absolutely the best you can find in Kuopio. The menu is divided between normal dishes and children, with less than adults, but cheaper. Food is really amazing here, I uploaded pictures of Ravioli alla Renna (the court I liked more, 25 Euro), Linguine all Vongole(24 Euro), Pernice(32 Euro), Pannacotta(9 Euro), Tiramisù (9 Euro), Espresso(3 Euro). I liked everything, both food and people, I sincerely recommend!
Nice atmosphere. The waitress seemed uncertain how much 16 cl is and ended with various amounts of wine for both of us. The other waiter had no such problems and was very professional with his wine recommendations. The Antipasto buffet is a good value for money with a variety of options. I missed Parmesan and Focaccia.
One of the worst experiences in the restaurant. Reactively very expensive, compared to others in the city, but food was just decent. The waiter had no idea of wines, even if the restaurant could have the longest wine list in Kuopio. The waiter proposed a simplest alternative for him. The wine was good, but it was declared full-bodied, regarless from the fact that it was not full-bodied wine. In addition, the customer service was lukewarm. We had to wait long for the bill and the waiter didn't care that the main dish was overcooked. .
Trattoria Sorrento is a rare jewel hidden in the basement of a beautiful historical Kuopian building. The staff was attentive, helpful and tried to ensure that guests choose the best dishes and wine pairs from the traditional Italian fare. The ubiquitous Paco welcomes visitors with Italian small talk and hospitality. I ordered the Linguine alla Vongole. The pasta was al dente and moved me directly back to the coastal mountains of the Apennines. Tanti saluti, Otto, Matt and Matt
