I tried the beef pie, which was excellently made with a flaky crust and a hearty filling. The accompanying gravy was fantastic. Instead of the usual fries, I opted for a fresh and crisp salad. I also enjoyed a delicious pumpkin soup. Although dining takes place on the sidewalk, the tables are sheltered since Kuranda is nestled within a rainforest, providing a pleasant setting. My dining experience was enjoyable, complemented by quick and friendly service. I highly recommend this café.
We enjoyed calamari chips, a veggie burger, and a strawberry smoothie. Both the food and the smoothie were incredibly delicious and fresh. The prices were very reasonable. It's an excellent place to eat, and I would highly recommend it!
Beware! I highly recommend going elsewhere. Like many other reviews, my experience was marred by slow service, high prices, and rude staff. I was charged around $35 for just two drinks, a salad sandwich, and a focaccia. One of the drinks was served lukewarm in a cup with ice, and I had to ask where the soft drinks were, only to be told to take one from the refrigerator. The focaccia bread was extremely thick and not toasted at all, making it nearly impossible to eat. Honestly, even mice would probably be deterred from this place.
The service was wonderful, but the food was quite unpleasant. The staff seemed overwhelmed with their workload, which affected the order-taking process. As a result, the food was served lacking in flavor.
Easy to locate place on the corner street. Good selection of food on the menu. The burger was good but the salad was a bit simple, but then again, was slightly cheaper than other places in Kuranda.
