Mapleton Kitchen - Kurunjang

Mapleton is our local favourite. Excellent service and food, great prices too. I can't go past their bircher it's like heaven in a bowl.

This charming cafe deserves to be busy. My mushroom and poached egg was terrific as was the coffee and crew. Would have given 5 stars, but my toast was super soggy. How does that happen? Recommend.

Upon entering this cafe you are immediately drawn to how small it is inside. However, I tend to let the food do the talking. I decided to order their granola and yogurt which was amazing. Every element on that dish had been carefully thought out and the presentation of the dish looked simply delightful. It's a shame that this cafe is so small as this dish would definitely be a standout and draw in bigger crowds.Overall dish was beautiful but interior is lacking size compares to other places.

Another nice cafe in Elsternwick with a nice modern decoration. We had salmond and bagel dish. The salmon was delicious but the egg in the bagel was a bit over cooked. The coffee was great!

Nice place, fresh and clean decor and comfy seats. Very friendly service and food was out quick too. The sourdough was tasty and two large slices. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon had a nice flavour. The only disappointment was the rostis which were greasy, but they have a refund for these which was very nice of them. The prana chai was tasty and served with almond milk and honey! Yum.
