Good typical Vietnamese restaurant. Menu is extensive, I only tried the broken rice which is very good as expected, like other Vietnamese joints. Cheap price too. Basically you won’t be disappointed but won’t be awed either. It’s probably the only Vietnamese restaurant in that area, so at least got that edge.
My go to place whenever I’m in Clayton. You get the pleasant crunch of the spring rolls and the freshness of the vegetables. The crispy chicken cuts through the dish and provides a roasted taste, while the noodles are coated in sweet and sour sauce which brings the dish together. Adding their house-made chili brings the dish to another level which I absolutely recommend putting. My friends literally finished the entire tub of chili that was provided!
It is nice food, good prices. You pay what you get, I am happy to come back to have a quick lunch or dinner.<br/ They Open long hours so never worried if they closed.<br/
I have always walked past this rather inconspicuous place on Clayton Rd, Clayton and wow, what a hidden gem this place turned out to be.<br/ <br/ I'll be honest, I walked in with pretty low expectations as I'd consider myself a harsh critic on Pho places and many places have been disappointing or subpar.<br/ <br/ I've tried many places in Melbourne, with the best ones generally being in Springvale and Footscray. This adds to the list.<br/ <br/ I ordered a large Special Beef Pho it was priced at $13 but when it came out, I was pleasantly surprised in that there was a lot of garnish on top (this is often overlooked), had lots of meat (1.5x to 2x the amount of most other places), was a decent size and overall was excellent.<br/ <br/ Also to my delight, the chilli sauce on the table was the salty type chilli sauce and not Sriracha as a lot of places seem to offer nowadays.<br/ <br/ The only things that bring the score down from 5/5 to 4/5 is the chilli oil and broth could have been hotter (more spicy and hotter heatwise, respectively), and that the ubiquitous tea thermos was not on my table.<br/ <br/ Overall, highly recommended.
