IMO vastly superior to the chicken and you get quality beef schnitzel for the same price. Today I ordered the beef schnitzel with spicy crumb in a status quo wrap and I swear they must have changed the make up of that spicy crumb because it sure was hot. The slaw in the status quo is one of my favourite slaws. Wait times today were quite long considering I ordered well outside the peak lunch rush. Still popular despite newbies in the complex.<br/ <br/ <br/ Previous Review<br/ One of the many problems with Spencer Street Outlet Stores is the limited food options. In fact not a single cafe or food court store above 3.5 on zomato. Clearly this is why I have been the victim of ridiculous queuing times at Schnitz in the past. Today however the queues were down and I only had about a 5 minute wait for my menu choice. Trying to be good so actively looking at the best items on their menu for doing so lead me to the following conclusion... salads here are hiding a crazy amount of calories if you want to include any form of protein. Instead I opted for the snack size status quo bun which came with crumbed pan fried chicken schnitzel, coleslaw and a honey mustard sauce. The turkish bun was soft and being made to order everything was fresh and tasty. Snack size was more than enough. The dining in area around the corner was fairly quiet as well. I have got to take my lunch breaks at 1:30 more often... the afternoon just flew. Easy better than average fast food option.
I can’t ever fault Schnitz, the food is always tasty. I always come back for their Chicken schnitzel and chips deal when I’m looking for something quick yet filling. It can get really busy here during the lunch rush, so the wait for food might take a little longer than other places, but I can overlook this as the food always comes out fresh.
We were doing some baby clothes shopping at Spencer Outlet Centre, and let me tell you, it’s an easy way to work up an appetite. So we went to check out Schnitz in the shopping court. Schnitz serves a variety of schnitzels, salads and parmas, with fries of course! They just refreshed their menu, adding a heap of new vegan and gluten free items.
IF you manage your expectations (it is a food court food after all), you would be very satisfied with the lunch here. I ordered the plain and simple in a buritto wrap and I really couldn't fault my meal. For $11, i had a filling delicious chicken wrap with generous salad fillings. Service was brisk and friendly perfect for the everyday worker who wants to grab and go their lunch. Will def be back.
Good food, chips were great, good location. approachable staff who were friendly. wait times were good during busy times. would go there again
