Kuusamon Tropiikki Cafe

The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, with plenty of space for a leisurely walk. Overall, our first impression was very positive. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrobes and towels provided were fresh. However, house shoes were not included and had to be purchased with the restaurant's logo as a souvenir. We stayed in rooms on the 3rd floor, but unfortunately, our room had no air conditioning, resulting in stuffy air and small windows that did not provide much relief. Additionally, there was no refrigerator or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It is important to note that the swimming pool opens at 13:00, so unfortunately, we were unable to swim during our stay.

This hotel offers a variety of accommodations including cabins and traditional hotel rooms. The hotel grounds feature numerous activities such as frisbee golf, hiking trails, and a winter park for children. The water park is perfect for kids, but may not be as enjoyable for adults. With only one restaurant on site, guests staying longer than a weekend may need to venture to Kuusamo city center for more dining options. The surrounding landscape is stunning.

During our stay at this restaurant, it was evident that there was little competition in the area. Our first unpleasant experience was with the receptionist, who seemed irritated by our presence before we even had a chance to greet them. They rolled their eyes and seemed unaware that we were waiting for assistance. Additionally, we noticed a strong and unpleasant odor, possibly mold, in the hotel, despite the high prices. The shower was also disappointing, as the water-saving shower heads did not provide enough water pressure for a satisfactory wash. There was no shelf to place our belongings while showering, resulting in water getting everywhere. Furthermore, the outlet by the bed only worked when the light was on. Overall, the lack of competition and apparent greed in the establishment left us with a negative impression.

Fantastic place in the heart of lappland. large children's area and large swimming pool. could be with the opening restaurant before 2 o'clock.

Average resort with smallish spa. A bit outdated interior. Hotel rooms do not have frigge or air conditioning. Moderate breakfast. Nice activities for the kids and beautiful surroundings
